Sarah Beth Hall is a scenic designer and artist for theatre and opera. She is based in the Greater DC area, where she is currently pursuing her MFA in Scenic Design from the University of Maryland.

Sarah Beth most recently spent four years at the Know Theatre of Cincinnati as the Design and Production Associate, where she scenic designed, associate scenic designed, painted, and prop mastered the Know’s productions. Some of her favorite designs at the Know included Neil Gaiman’s Neverwhere, Supertrue, and Andy’s House of [Blank]. Along with the rest of the Know staff, she also assisted with both running the theatre and in putting up the annual Cincinnati Fringe Festival, for which she was the festival’s lead graphic designer and Bar Series Manager from 2016-2018.

Aside from the Know, Sarah Beth has also worked with multiple other companies in Cincinnati. She has designed scenery for Cincinnati Shakespeare Company (CSC) and Diogenes Theatre Company, and painted scenery for CSC, Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati, Cincinnati Opera, and Madcap Puppets.

Sarah Beth has additionally painted at Muhlenberg Summer Music Theatre, Maine State Music Theatre, and Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey.

Sarah Beth received her BFA in Scenic Design from the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory in Music, along with a Certificate in European Studies from UC’s McMicken College of Arts and Sciences. She recently was a guest instructor at her alma mater, where she taught a section of Graphics II: Hand Drafting.
